Shadow of St Benedict taken in Room 1 of the Benedictine abbey at Melk; the room has the theme "Listen with Your Heart".
The Abbey is very ornate - the interior of the church looks spray-painted with gold - but the simplicity of this photo appealed to me.
The extensive medieval library was the inspiration for Umberto Eco's novel "The Name of the Rose", later made into a film starring Sean Connery
