I have adored Belted Galloways ever since I can remember!!
This is one of those deep and meaningful childhood things, when my poppa would take me to a family farm at Tikokino, and all I ever wanted to see were the neighbour's Belted Galloways (or "belties").
So imagine my excitement soon after we left St Ives for a day trip round the Cornwall peninsula, and I found myself driving through a WHOLE HERD of them wandering the road. We were at a beautiful spot called Carn Galver, with cattle stops either side of the ruins of two tin-mining engine houses, and the cattle were roaming freely as part of a National Trust project on Bosigran Farm.
I had only seen black ones before, so was particularly fascinated by the ones in this colour.
