Years ago we went to the SPCA to meet another cat, but Viggo picked us out, swatted away any cats that tried to come near us, and patiently waited for us to realise he was right about coming home with us.
Sadly we are now a 'three dog - two cat' house, and we already miss our big gorgeous boy so much. Who is gong to rule the hounds with an iron paw now? He died very peacefully on Monday night with all of us stroking him, and our vet was awesomely kind as he always is. We finally left the clinic 40 minutes after closing time, but it was so good to have time for our goodbyes, before and after.
