Mary Icon

This hand painted icon was purchased from the artist by our daughter and her fiance on New Year's Eve at the antique marketplace outside the Nevski Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria. They spent Christmas in Greece and New Year's in Bulgaria and the beautiful icon is one of their gifts to us.

There are several ``schools`` of it . Old ones are famous and value . The letters are the names of the person. Above is for Maria . The little ones on the right side IC-XC is for Jesus Christ
