As I was driving through our city park I noticed many of the Christmas lights had not been removed. I'm only hoping they are not leaving them up to beat the rush of next Christmas!
I like your composition on this, Sue. The colored lights immediately draw the viewer into the shot. Yes, I agree! Please take them down! . There are people here who string lights over the eaves of their houses and leave them up year round. Kind of a blight on the neighborhood. We have an HOA -- Home Owners Association -- for our residential neighborhood. Holiday decorations must be taken down withing ten days afterwards.
Christmas decorations has an inherent meaning...just for Christmas. Some years ago I was at the Post Office in a nearby town. It was April, not 1 April, and the CDs were still up. I wonder about the International Date Line ;-)
