It takes a lot of passion to own a 16th century house like this one. The inside is not suited to the conforts of modern life, and any adaptation is severely constrained by monument protection laws. Quite often the front room of the ground floor has been transformed into a charming luxury store, but if you peek through the upper windows, you can see that the rest is abandoned. This house stands on the harbour quay in Treguier (Brittany).
Interesting shot when coupled with your back-story. Rather sad that the regulations designed to protect these wonderful old buildings are instead contributing to their decay.
