The white boat is picking up lobster pots at the foot of the submarine cliff under the big rock. The land in the background is an island, and the ruined goat farm is the only building ever known to have existed on it. The goats were roaming free and had to be transported back to the mainland by sailboat to be sold. The island is now a protected access.
