The nights have been dipping down into the 50s with 40s soon to come next week. The number of butterflies will soon be dipping too. I caught this busy Painted Lady in my mother's garden over the weekend.
Very nice shot. Yep temps are getting cooler here haven't seen a dragonfly in about a week. There are alot of spiders, bees & wasp guess they will be disappearing soon too.
What a lovely picture on those flowers! Still seeing some gulf fritillaries and monarchs, but they're definitely getting ready to leave. Think my hummingbirds have gone today. Love how you were able to get the detail on the Painted Lady - having trouble getting them still enough to get a sharp picture.
@milaniet This one was very cooperative. Usually those wings flutter all over the place and it is hard to get a shot. I think the cooler temperatures slow them down a little too.
