I have been visiting the huge flock of mallards at Olmstead Outlook every day this week. The weather warmed up a little (to 42 degrees!) and the river has opened up. There was lots of splashing and posturing going on in this large flock of about 250-300 ducks. They are only here in the winter, so I have to take advantage of the photo op. Best when viewed large. Beautiful - I'm learning about aperture settings and what you get from your detailed shots - this is great! Even with a light breeze you managed to get a nice reflection.
@milaniet When I shoot the ducks, I boost my shutter speed so I can freeze their movements. I am not that good at using the manual setting, so I usually use the sports mode instead. But you are right, aperture settings do matter when you want more of your shot in focus.
