American Beautyberry Bush

This shrub (Callicarpa americana) has the most beautiful bright purple berries in the fall. They almost look like plastic beads.

Beautifully captured, the colour is so amazing. Are they edible, or used for something?

@ludwigsdiana Apparently humans can eat them, but just a few, and it isn't well known that they are edible. The white tail deer adore them and prune my bush right down to about a foot and a half from the ground by the end of the winter.
