In preparing for my library show I realized that I had never posted this photo back in August. This lovely scene is along a wood and trail at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. View large for best detail.
En masse they are just outstanding - what a beautiful combination of colors - and back in hot August it really must have felt almost cooling. I've never seen them in such a large grouping. So glad you came back across this one.
