This lichen covered W is in the Cedar Lake Cemetery in Chester, CT. There were many gravestones from the 1800s including one for Abigail Waterhouse, who died at 101. She was born in 1770 and died in 1871, so she lived through both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. We are going to try to find more out about her.
What wonderful textures you captured. I had noticed that on some of the headstones in our older section of the town cemetery - made of which dated back to the mid 1850's.
