Empathy is the crux of the work I do. Often, it isn't easy or natural as we like to think.
Only in the movies do we actually see people wake up in the body of another person and they get to see what it's REALLY like from the other person's perspective. Can you imagine if you woke up in your boyfriend's, husband's, wife's, or lover's body? Or even better...someone you dislike? And then had to live a day in their shoes? Would gain a different perspective, that's for sure.
On an unrelated note, I'm still pining for warm weather. I wanna wear skirts and sandals and flip-flops. 70-degree spring weather, where are you?????
Oh, dear. If I tried to walk a mile in those shoes, I'd be a bleeding cripple before the 1/4 mile post.
How about I just respect and admire you for your empathy? I know that there's a galactically big difference between being empathic and squeezing a living out of being empathic. Serious respect for your inner strength and kindness.
@adamj I've been curious too lol. I don't know how horrified/surprised/delighted or what-have-you if I woke up in another body. Especially a man's. how weird would that be.
@timerskine I sometimes don't know why I wear the shoes that I do. The nice looking ones hurt. What's the saying? Senseless acts of beauty and random acts of kindness. Women's shoes are senseless sometimes. And thanks for the respect. Truly appreciate your kind thoughts.
