Y U NO LOVE ME?!

Validation. A topic in conversation tonight. Thought this photo was appropriate.

Where does one get validation?

Is it ever enough?

5 Pointz. LIC.

It was drizzling...but the rain felt good.

I took a lot of photos tonight, some of which are probably better than this but I chose this one. 5 pointz was really cool. I suggest going there if you ever get a chance.

Have a good weekend, folks! :)
What different scenes we see, Ms. T.

As for validation, I think it comes from feeling like you did something worth doing each day. You have to validate yourself, I suppose. Sometimes reaching all the way around to pat one's own back is difficult, but if you stretch a little more each day, it is possible, and certainly can be enough.

I absolutely love the vibrant colors in this, and I love thinking about it in comparison to the bright yellow and blue in my picture today. All the same world. Happy Friday.

Beautiful capture and deep deep topic in your title. Very tricky to try and measure 'validation'.

Vivid image. Love the color and the signage. Looks like a set from a Broadway show, broken window and all. Very slick shot Ms. T.

Great pic. What's on the roof top that's so good, they don't want you there?

Colors and your processing are fantastic! Fav!

MsT I just remember I once shot the y u no love me and love your tie in with need for validation. Here my past pic: http://365project.org/michaelelliott/and-more-365/2012-08-17

@michaelelliott ah cool! I like seeing it from a different POV and with different art around it. Looks like in your pic Adam Yauch from the Beastie boys is painted. In this one, it's Ludacris...I think. So cool how the art changes. I can see why you go there often.

@baznman thanks! There is cool graffiti on the rooftop as well.

@adamj I didn't even notice the broken window. I can see what you mean by it looking like a set for a Broadway show.

@lizzyjane66 thanks for taking a look at the pic :) I agree with your comments about validation. I have many thoughts about the topic which I won't get into in depth here but I do believe it comes from within and spending energy into things that are worthwhile.

@tonydebont yes it is tricky to measure or operationalize validation. But seeking some type of validation is what we all do on a daily basis - whether consciously or subconsciously - from the moment start interacting with the world.

Fabulous graffiti find. Is this where Michael and Adam go? Love this!!

@amandal thanks, Amanda! Yes they took me there yesterday. Such a vibrant place. Literally.

My naivete shows through. Is this a landmark in NYC? Ironically I just saw - Now You See Me - and one of the final scenes was shot on the rooftop of 5ptz. Movie was great, btw.
