Cool find! by fayefaye

Cool find!

I'm not sure what these are! I see them on my walks and I think that they are very cool looking. I am assuming that they are some type of grass but I'm not really sure. I have stopped to take pictures of them many times but have not posted until today! They kind of look like they have a crown on the top! Best viewed on black!
How interesting! I love the composition, and all the detail at the tip top. Fabulous.

Maybe a form of bamboo?? Looks similar to what is growing along the path at the college and someone told me that was a kind of bamboo. Love your colors and dof.

Looks like horsetail reed, a kind of ornamental grass. Nice shot!

Very cool. Looks like what I've always known as extension grass.

Love the narrow DOF, the soft focus of the many reeds behind this main one. Wonderful focus. I think these are called 'horsetail' or 'scouring rush' but I'm honestly not positive. They're sure unique tho. I like the way the rings of color contrast so nicely.

Love your dof. I have these in my garden around my pond. They spread like mad and come up through the lawn and other borders. They are a type of bamboo I think.
