It's a humming bird ... Yeah!!!!

I can't tell you how excited I was to see a hummingbird out on the tree branch last night! I ran and got my feeder and put it up as quick as I could! This isn't the most exciting picture but I am hoping that there will be more and better ones to come! Ohhhhh I just love these little birds!

Oh they will show up alright. They are so much fun to watch. One surprising thing I learned about them this year is that they aren't very sociable. They live very solitary lives, only coming together to mate or grudging share a hummingbird feeder. Many times we will see one at the feeder only to get buzzed by another trying to chase it away.
