The beautiful snowy owl!

Today was -21 with a wind chill of -34. Holy cow it's freezing here but getting a picture of snowy owl is all worth it.

Awesome bird. Nice detail, and beautiful capture of the open eyes. I find that in the sunshine they tend not to open their eyes much, and I often get just narrow slits. This one almost looks as if it's had its beak punched in.
