I found a monarch caterpillar quite a few weeks ago and waited for it to go into the chrysalis stage. It's so late so I wasn't even sure it would survive ... but today as I was heading out to my daughters place after work for turkey dinner ... it decided to emerg. I quickly grabbed my camera and then headed out for Thanksgiving dinner. It truly was a thanksgiving miracle ... but now it needs to head out as it's very late and it has a very long flight ahead of it.
