Sorry this is long and thin - I wasn't expecting the big bang up high and so had the camera pointing at the interest between the houses. Glad I caught most of it though and thought I'd post it anyway as I loved all the glow and all the smoke.
I can't believe the sun even rose over England today... we were covered in a thick, wet grey blanket and needed lights on all day. Tell you what... seeing as today was our village Guy Fawkes night early, I'll upload this today and hope to get some evidence of a rising/setting sun for the november-list challenge tomorrow. Ok? Good. I knew you'd be reasonable.
I was delighted by your kind comments on my lurve shot from Paris. While we were there, we saw folk looking for, and finding the padlock they had left there some time before. it was quite sweet. I guess if you fall out you have to go back with a big chopper...?
Have a great week - keep safe and warm my friends, especially if you go out with fireworks :)
@sandier Thanks Sandie! It's our Guy Fawkes night celebrations a night early..... many moons ago Guy Fawkes and a group of his mates tried to blow up parliament but was caught in the act. (Some say he was tricked). He was found guilty and (I'm afraid) burnt at the stake. We have a bonfire night / Guy Fawkes night on 5th November every year... good excuse to get together, eat hot dogs and watch fireworks! (But we were cold and the kids had only just got back so we watched it from the window this year).
Absolutely brilliant Phil even if it was a surprise!! Very tricky doing these shots I guess if you are very keen you set up in the daylight and take a guesstimate where the big ones explode!!
(I really miss bonfire night - the Aussies don't do it :( )
