Door.. hm. Luckily eagle-eyed passenger Caroline spotted this old door in Ickwell, where I was able to stop and get a shot. It was the village Smithy, where the blacksmith would do his stuff even into the 20th century. Nowadays the mud outside is thanks to the football boots - the building is next to the village green and used as changing rooms for the local football club! A different kind of pong but nothing less pungent!
(I know it's not straight.. believe me, I could hardly find a single straight line!)
Hoping to catch up soon, but thank you for all your views you're marvellous - mwah!
Nice door- good catch Caroline. You can always straighten it in the processing but when the building is old like this one, sometimes the crooked lines add character. Good shot.
How interesting... The bottom of the door is straight and really serves to show how very little else is. All the angles really give the place so much character. Even the weather stripping type piece is on an angle.
