Not sure if this was a really dim idea. Trying to do the alphabet in shapes I can see... along with the February words (today it is red), and stick with my scary new camera all month in order to get to know it. I'm hoping that it will make me work a bit harder (cue hysteria and laughter) but time will tell whether it will be worth it. Probably very boring until Feb 28th...
This was the tiny little present that made me 'cool mum' when George opened it on his 17th birthday yesterday. He opened it out for me in an A shape and I decided to do a B&W month with maybe a bit of red too. (hang on, that's another feb challenge... uh oh). Let's see where this goes to if I survive it!
This was interesting to try out the focus... thought I had done ok with manual but nevertheless this, on autofocus, was the best, Do you know, if I wiggle the little dial at the front of the lens, the focus changes?! That's something I found out today. ;)

Great shot Phil, like the comp and the shadows.A tip, If the manual focus is out of focus you can change the diopter settings for the viewfinder. Usually a small wheel you can turn.

@gphelps5 Believe it or not I've printed out your list with the letters of the alphabet next to it. I've spent half my thoughts this morning thinking of a B with a shadow.. better go and see if I can find a kindly groundhog to pose in a B position. Or perhaps this will be the month when I duck in and out of the challenge..! It occurred to me that doing it mostly B&W with a flash of red would fit in with another monthly challenge too... oh my poor brain...
You go for it girl! Having done this myself I know what a challenge it is but I'm positive you'll rise to it. This is an excellent A so you've made a great start xx
