C is for Garden Hose

You still here? Goodness I'm amazed, this is far from exciting! Main problem with this was getting it onto the kitchen table without dribbling water everywhere, and then getting far enough above it to take a shot ... at one point my hair was over-heated by the lightbulb!!
I think I'm having to get used to different lenses too rather than one-does-all... this one clearly likes a particular range and stubbornly refuses to shoot if I'm too close or too far away. Just what I need, a temperamental dslr.

Oh - and I'm sure if Aquarius was around today she'd use a hosepipe to transport water...!

Thanks so much for calling by to see my shadowy B yesterday... you really are too kind. Have a super week :)
LOL at the modern day Aquarius. Love that you find all these things with a pop of red.

An "A" for creativity! Can't wait to see the month view of this.

@nadaa Thank you! Most of them don't have red on them... I'm adding a red tint to a bit of it and changing the rest of the shot to B&W. Oh, and increasing the contrast to hopefully make it a bit bolder. I am looking forward to 28th too!!

What a great C! Your thumbnails are already starting to look so good!! I'm here for the duration... keep them coming!

Lol the things you do :-) this works well!

Oh and check on the details for your lens. Each will have a measurement from sensor to object as the minimum focal point. That is different depending on the lens. So with my macro the closest I can get to an object is 18 cm and for my other lens it's about 70 cm. It shows on your lens from minimum distance to infinity where you focus. Does this make sense or am I telling you stuff you already know??

Now I've heard about the Hispanic Fireman who called his sons Jose (Hose A) and Hose B (Boom boom. But I didn't know that he had a 3rd son, Hose C!!

@bmnorthernlight Hi B! No, it's all new to me, any and all advice very much appreciated!! Where on the lens will it say the min/max distance? The stuff is 2nd hand so I have few guides and only a manual for the basic camera which might as well be written in Russian! I swapped the lens for a different one to do a close-up shot (G I think) and found it much easier to understand where the 'sweet spot' was... but 10 days in I'm still experimenting with it. Pleased with the quality of the shots though. (Which has nothing to do with me!!)
