Guess who won the staring contest? by filsie65

Guess who won the staring contest?

Went to collect George and found myself driving past sheep and lambs. Veered off the main road to get closer to the little lambkins and when I got out of the car found about 50 sheep charging up to me all baaa-ing insistently. Then they stopped dead, a few feet away, and stared at me in silence. Believe it or not I felt the need to say something and said 'ehm hello' rather expecting them to say 'baa ram ewe' or something in reply. So this is my shot for 'silence' - and yes, they won the staring contest!
(Wish I had got down a little lower but I was more than a little disconcerted and not at all sure what they were going to do next!)
#taken at the weekend, edited yesterday to ump up the colours a bit.

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my dew-drop shots.... I can't imagine any better 365ers than you! Have a marvellous weekend :)
Aww cute sheep. Clouds with legs.

Love this shot, a real mob attitude here.

They certainly look menacing, great shot!

Maybe they are used to people in cars stopping and giving them food... they're probably still talking about! Great shot too BTW ;-)

It's obvious they're all in the competition anyway! Fantastic find!

Haha - excellent!

I think they thought you were the farmer arriving with some feed, you must have been a big disappointment arriving with only a camera! Great capture of them though :)

Brave you! Think the best strategy is to stare back.

Great capture of the stare-off.

I love them!! I agree with the others, they were looking for a tidbit or two. Of course they are staring- How rude of you to only bring a camera!! lol

Nice capture of a wooly mob.

They do look quite intent!

They look relatively harmless with those short little legs and huge bodies....love their blue earrings!

Mobs of sheep

I think given the choose the one with the brown face would be head and shoulders above the rest as far as staring goes. He/she has quite an intense look! xx

Oh, Phil. You make me laugh. I love it.

I love the look of the brown faced one with the white tipped muzzle but I'm putting my money on the one in the forefront!

Great shot! I don't blame you for getting lower. Sheep are sneaky buggers! They will do unspeakable things if you aren't looking back at them! Love this! Well done, Phil! :)
