Twanky & Emperor (Oh yes it was)

Bit of a diary shot, really... my sister in Sutton Coldfield put on an amazing pantomime which we went to see on Saturday - (had to hire a car to get there) we had to remind ourselves that it was an amateur production, it was genuinely so good. This gives an idea of how OTT and colourful it was as Widow Twankey and the Emperor share a little song realising they could 'get together' now that Aladdin (Prince Ali) is marrying Jasmine (before it all goes wrong!) Twankey (Richard Aucott) the pantomime dame made all his own costumes..!!
Thank you for calling by while I'm catching up - and for your kind and encouraging comments, you're all super :)
That is a fantastic shot of those outrages costumed characters.

Those costumes are certainly awesome. They don't look amateur at all. Great shot.

What a great production! Twanky must be so talented in so many different ways.

Love those costumes. I'm not a panto lover but probs because I've always had to endure the 'very' amateur dramatics xx

those costumes are amazing - we used to have local pantomimes when I lived in the West Country (I've helped make costumes in the past) which used to be fun, with some very good people taking part - which were judged against each other, so they did put a lot into them

Great shot, Phil! What colorful costumes! I keep hearing about panto on the shows I watch with my sweetheart but have never seen a show or even costumes until now! Thanks so much for sharing this event! Well done :)
