I had a haunting Weegee-inspired "corpse under a car" shot planned for this week, but vacation logistics made that impossible to get before the weekend, sadly, which is fine because this is a better autobiographical image anyway. For a while now, my entire life has been lived "on the road". It's my favourite place to be! All my worldly possessions fit in my car, and that's the way I kinda like it. Sometimes, I get to hankerin' for my own home, but I know that if I bought one, I probably wouldn't stay there long anyway!
This trip, I've been on the road for four days now, well, five if you include the second Sunday July 21st I had due to crossing the International Date line. I came to Florida to visit my almost-twin, (we were born 24 hours apart on opposite sides on the planet!) my internet bestie who I've been communicating online with since 2008. We finally met for the first time when she came to pick me up from Tampa airport the other day, and we've been having such hilarious fun together! Our Walmart trips have been so epic that I worry that they are going to have to take me out of there in an ambulance, dying of laughter ! There has been Budweiser and Foster's beer and Sangria and other evil substances. She installed me in the back office at her work place, so I have my own space while she's working during the week. Buzz Aldrin planted the Stars and Stripes on the moon. A Walmart kiwi fruit was the best I could do! I'm really looking forward to the weekend! We're going to a drumming circle on the beach :-)
@houser934@gigiz@bobfoto Thank you all. I found the Xmas tree on the floor and was inspired by the bizarreness of the placement of some of the props in 'Twin Peaks", one of my fave shows...
@kali66@houdiniem Thank you both. I AM having a great time, and the adventures haven't even really begun yet!! Can't WAIT to Amtrak it up to Georgia on Monday! After having a squiz on Google Images, I suspect I will want to marry the place not long after I arrive! :-)
@gavincci Yes!! Do you know that in Australia, we actually celebrate Christmas in July as well as in Dec, so we can have all the cold weather things like egg-nog and roast food? It's really big in the Blue Mountains where it snows in July! Despite having had Christmas in summer all my life, it has always felt wrong to me! How can you have Christmas without snow..???!! :-/
Had to look at this for a while, looks like your sitting on the pot.
AWESOME you got to find a bestie online. I my self am finding the most interesting an worthwhile folks aren't the ones closes by.
@gsanemone Haha! No, you'll have to wait for our "on the loo' week for that shot! Yes, DEF. the most desirable friends of mine are on the other side of the planet, but that's just one more excuse to travel IMO!!
@sunshinephoto5 Thanks Dawn. I hate what Walmart does to mom and pop businesses, but my God, that place is FUN!! :-)

@kittikat Haha no! These Floridians seem extremely civilised compared to those Walmartian horrors!
