How Much Time Has Passed?

@luvthyclassics

I've been exploring the abandoned house next door to mine. There is this one room, mostly empty except an antique chair in the corner and this old photograph/painting on the wall. And I wondered how much time had passed since the room looked new instead of old, was lived in instead of empty, etc etc. Time, though decaying the house, has given it a character which I find beautiful. I stood in the room beneath the photograph and felt timeless for a moment.
Stunning shot. Great emotion!

Love love this. We have an old house in ruins near us, I would like to ignore the signs and go in and photograph it but so far have not been game.

Jesse, nicely put together composition. It looks a lot like the current artist challenge for Jackie Ranken. The colors, textures, room and photo hanging. Take a look if you've not done so...

Very cool! I love to look at old things... houses, antiquities or whatever it might be. I love to think of the history and give them stories... I think your processing and the old photo/ painting really helps to capturea strong emotion. Fantastic!

Wonderful processing - such a wistful image - time passing, people and places changing - beautifully captured and presented.
