Rapahoe is a small settlement of about 30 homes nestled into a bay facing the Tasman sea.
We have the most amazing sunsets year round, and every evening there is a line of tourists and photographers snapping away at it. Behind me you can see Point Elizabeth, there is a lovely bush walk to a lookout there and on a clear day you can see the snow covered Southern Alps and New Zealand's highest peak, Aoraki Mt Cook to the south. If I wasn't so lazy/preoccupied I might have walked out there and taken the photo!
I look like I am rugged up for siberia, but as soon as it was officially Autumn the temperatures dropped on the breath of air sucked up from Antarctica!! too soooooooon :(
