@amandal Think maybe my comment didn't connect: 'cq' means 'general call' and is used by Ham Radio Operators looking to make contact wtith another ham operator - the dots and dashes are the same message in morse code. My reply in morse abbreviations reads as 'de F5VJD AR K' which in plain English is " from F5VJD (my French Ham Radio Call Sign), end of message, please reply". In other words, I was replying to the CQ call ;-)
