@overalvandaan basically i turned off the lights in my room except for a small lamp, which I placed facing upward and I held the book in front of it to make it look like the light was coming out of the book. It was tough to get the camera to focus because of the light so I had to manually focus it. The bokeh was just an added effect during editing :) Thanks for your comment!
