I've always been fascinated by those Victorian age "magicians", along the lines of "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" (for those that have read it). I think I could quite happily have mixed with them and created chaos of my own ;)
Instant impact but also lasting enjoyment with all the details. The curtains the coat and the reflections are so pleasing and the books. What's the deal with the books?

Yes, that time period and the magicians that terrified and fascinated people would have been right up your alley!! I am assuming this would have been the original "TV Reality show"!! FAV for this!
