Gratitude

Some time ago, I had the chance to play with 20 kids (my daughter and her classmates) directing a musical I had written. We gathered 400+ people in a theatre and collected enough money to fund the digging of a well in a Kenya village dying for draught. We shared the excitement of the moments before the curtain opened; we were surrounded by the love and friendship of people applauding even if it was totally off-key... And I could wear my white tie and tails!!!
Gratitude is what I continue feeling.

@domenicododaro
What fun and such a worthwhile cause - well done to everyone involved and especially you for getting it all underway.

@domenicododaro what a wonderful, happy shot - I love the professional outfit and surroundings, and the colors... but what a wonderful thing to do! Wonderful. And I know you are fibbing about singing off-key, you're a musician after all ;)

@dide Thank you very much, it was a challenge, but so rewarding!
@kali66 I'm a daring irresponsible person, mostly... the real cause was to stay with the kids and I succeeded in an unexpected and joyful way!
@vignouse I think I learned that we share love for music, don't we? I do actually have few talents, it's all about showing them off ;-)
@summerfield Thank you so much, Vikki! The toughest battle was with the other parents... Who in the end were enthusiastic!
@kerosene Thank you dear Caroline! It was as happy and wonderful as off-key: one gentleman of the audience wrote a note of compliments: "apart for the girl playing Mary, the rest was so dissonant that it had to be on purpose: kind of Stravinsky..." ;-)
