there was a movie sometime ago the premise of which was that a mirror earth suddenly appeared and everything in it was a copy of everything in the original earth but in opposite circumstances. so imagine seeing another you, perhaps richer, perhaps wiser, perhaps smarter, perhaps prettier. or perhaps slimmer. aaaargh!
