the deuce! i forgot about the flotation drama this week. but the lifesaver as you can see is my lifesaver.
in the old country, we call the flotation/floatation device a 'life saver' because it does save lives in the pool or in the sea waters. but every time i think of life saver, i, having a one-track mind when it comes to food and sweets, i think of the lifesaver candies. in fact, back in the old country when we were still young warthogs, whenever my friends and i went to the beach, we always brought with us lifesavers, the candy, not the device. i don't know why, it seemed like a talisman, you know, to protect us from drowning in 2 feet of water (it could happen!).
not very creative nor inventive but the show must go on.
vintage 1979 (it was a good year!). this is not strictly a selfie in the sense that the first mr. summerfield pressed the shutter for me. but he, not knowing anything about fiddling with the camera, i had to set the slr on a tripod, focused on a dummy passerby, ran and pushed said dummy so i could take the spot, and let the handsome mr. summerfield do the rest.
