Reading the old testament, the mind boggles, highlights include genocide, child sacrifice, rape, incest , slavery, mysogony,....all in the name of God... one has to wonder what kind of God they were worshiping.
PS fig leaves are punishing to wear, it gave me a rash...
i asked my catechism teachers that when i was a little girl, i was told i was probably reading a protestant's bible. :-D hope the rash is healed now. aces on this, my friend.

@annied - you won't believe it, but a lot of devout catholics have never read the Bible. meanwhile, i have read at least two versions, not including the Gideon bible i stole from a hotel once. :-D i'm a badass when it comes to books even though some of my friends ridicule me for having a Gideon bible. they all contained the same thing as far as i know or read. but it is partly because of reading the bible that i don't eat meat anymore. but mostly because i watched accidentally an episode of "criminal minds". :-D
@summerfield hahahahaha I have watched all of Criminal Minds but the latest season - have that recorded ready to go.......I can think of a a couple of their episodes that could have been the reason :)

@summerfield protestant censors are not so strict? maybe they enjoy horror stories more than Catholics, although if you read about the lives/deaths of some of the saints you would have to wonder.
