17th May 2019

When my Fiances mother went with her friend to try to find some mushrooms, they said there must be very many moose, but I haven't seen any. For me they are rare animals to see, they keep usually inside of forest, deep and can avoid people very easily.

So imagine my surprise and joy when I saw female with calf. They just run through the opening, I managed to take blurry picture of them and they were gone. Few minutes later they were back, cow knew I was there and didn't want to go down, but I was charmed anyway and in my mind was whispering "Little moosie, two steps forward please, two steps forward pretty please", since it was hidden behind shrubs.

And there it moved forward and they moved back into forest safety.

Then bull came, that was quite moose fest for me today.

PS. I had no idea how funnily cute they eat branches with leaves, or let's be more precise: leaves from branches :D
How lovely to capture them, so sweet to see a calf.

Boo
very cool...they are shy creatures who I am sure climb trees when they don't want us looking at them..be careful not to come between the mummy and her baby though, they all pack a ounch when they kick

@sugarmuser Yes, I was so happy and I was trying to hold my breath and not even move a little bit, so mom wouldn't be scared.

@huvesaker I know, if the calf came too close to my liking for my safety, I'd slowly move backwards, luckily I had space there and open field. First of all: no matter what picture, mine and animals safety is over everything, it's just not worth to get hurt or cause hurt.

@sstcowan Thank you!

@momamo It is, isn't it. Best way to spend Friday evening! :D
