Sunlight, shadow and the Horseshoe Bend

I was meant to be Christmas shopping this afternoon but it was raining and blowing as I left Mr and Mrs Day's after coffee, cake, mince pies and truffles (they spoil me). The plan changed and, after running some errands, the sun came out as I came back down Pleasant Stile to this view of the Horseshoe Band on the River Severn. Prefer taking photos anyway!

@maggiemae It really is called the Horseshoe Bend and I'm looking down on the flood plain with a hill and the sun behind me which is why some of the fields are in shadow.
