Couldn't resist looking down the tongue of this iris which has come out today.
The baby crow has finally left the nest. I watched it on the top of the chimney as it's family flew around calling it and eventually it took off on it's maiden flight with a bit of a dip to start. It's been fascinating to see how the family worked together to get this baby up in the air so I've learnt something new today about crows!
lovely to hear about the crows Ann. How great that you could watch the maiden flight. I like your shot of the open mouthed Iris. it really does look like it is sticking its tongue out.
