The hen pheasant is still sitting and there appears to be no sign of chicks (on the 10th April there were 16 eggs). It's usually 23-25 days before hatching so if nothing happens in the next couple of days her sitting will have been in vain. The daffodil leaves where she has made her nest offer little protection now and she deserves some reward for her dedication.
