With a full moon, it's high tides at the moment and you might just be able to make out how high on the wall on the right. All was quiet as I sat on the steps here, apart from the occasional glug as the water lapped the wall.
I've sat here many times over my life, as did my mum and dad and grandparents, to watch the putchers that, in days gone by, were just round the corner of the wall. I could feel our history today as I enjoyed my quiet wild time on the riverbank.
