Windmill Poppy

This Poppy was growing in my side yard, which in the spring can be full of California Poppies and Cosmos. What was interesting with this one is that the petals did not open fully and looked a bit like a Dutch Windmill.

The petals do indeed look like a windmill. And that's quite a swirly background to set off the poppy. Nice selective coloring, too.
