Watching the moon rise

We waited for the lunar eclipse, but no red moon here, only the eclipse. It was very bright though

I went to a suitable vantage point, set up tripod and camera, and waited. And waited, and waited and … But the clouds refused to cooperate. Despite the lack of redness, this is a wonderfully evocative shot that is very effectively composed.

@golftragic Oh poor you. Very frustrating. I sent the boys out into the backyard to let me know when the moon started to rise while I had a drink and my partner cooked!
