Grapevines in detail

My first attempt at HDR - 5 handheld shots in Photoshop. Any feedback appreciated - I was after the HDR clarity and feel while still keeping it true to the scene

I don't know much about HDR but I love this!! FAV

You've managed this really well. I love HDR but hate the HDR "look"This is a welcome compromise

I know nothing about HDR, but know a bit about clouds and I love this cloudscape :)

What an open view, BEAUTIFUL. When I do HDR I use Photomatix, I have only just started doing HDR but Photomatix is so easy to use....Fav

Wonderful shot - I'm going to have to look into HDR - am seeing some fantastic things being done with it.

Nice shot

Nicely done and not overly done!

The clarity on this is stunning considering you did it hand held. I'd never attempt hdr without my tripod.

I really like the way you've composed this shot Robyn, and you've done a great job with your first HDR too. Personally, I'd like to see the brightness toned down just a wee bit, and the small twigs top right removed in Photoshop. You've done a good job of keeping the dreaded halo effect to the bare minimum. Well done.

I know nothing about HDR...but great awesome processing.

Great capture and haven't a clue about HDR!! I know I have a mode for it on my camera, but you have to use a tri-pod and it takes 3 photos in a row. After that I don't know anything!! I did it without the tri-pod but wasn't that impressed with it, so it's something I did, cause I do like the effect on certain photos. I think your's is great and especially for a first one. There should be some helpful hints about it if you google it!!
FAV!

Does anyone know where the settings for HDR are on a Canon 600D? I did all my shots in manual and hand held, trying to only change the shutter speed to modify light in each of the 5 shots

On the 650D, there is a setting on the Mode Dial (the big wheel on the top right of the camera) for HDR. It is the last setting when the wheel is moved in a clockwise direction. Don't know if it the same on the 600D

If you do a search for Canon 600D HDR setting you will get a list of information

I forgot to say that I almost never use a tripod Robyn. I don't think it's a necessity for daylight HDRs, but different in low-light, of course. Have you found where your AEB settings are now? If not, check the index in your manual under AEB.
November 15th, 2014
@janiskay Thanks Janice. I did this and found you do it in Av mode and using a menu setting
November 16th, 2014
@terryliv Thanks Poppo, it's in a combination of Av on the dial and menu settings

@golftragic Found now, thanks Marnie
