Witches bird?

My girlfriend and I saw this bird while out walking and she immediately dubbed it a witches bird. IT is not a crow and I can't identify it - any help? It is glossy black with the red eye with some white visible under the wings in flight.

chuff bird australia, search on this on Google and look at images. Pretty sure that it is a chuff.
