Doing the dolphin tail slap

A pod of 4 dolphins were playing near my kayak. They started tail slapping so I stayed back, I am not certain of what the tail slapping means but they were communicating with each other and being very active. I loved the water action as well as the tails, but didn't want to be too close in my little kayak
