Young Australasian Grebe? by flyrobin

Young Australasian Grebe?

I think this is a young Australasian Grebe - definitely a grebe of some kind with its long dives. It was playing all alone in the river with no adults in sight except for a moorhen. Apparently the adults can breed up to 3 times a season and the young are driven away when they begin to breed again.
Lovely!
