Lowest Tide

The bottom drops off slowly on this part of the Gulf of Thailand.
Fascinating -- this doesn't seem that steady, given the force of the ocean.

@taffy The waves are small here. Three to 4 feet is the usual yearly maximum, 6 feet happened once for a few hours in the last 5 years. Wind + fetch (distance the wind blows over water) = wave size. Biggest storms come from the NE which gives only 90 miles of fetch. Too much information?:
