The whites are vertical light panels, repeating the museum's design theme of light as both functional illumination and design. IMHO that's a subtle relation to their automobiles being both functional and objects of design.
Thanks for the explanation - quite confusing to try and work out but looks good and clearly you have been able to get inside the head of the architect. I often find museum buildings far more interesting than their exhibits.
@helenhall You're welcome. I find auto manufacturer museums to be the most interesting designs because they must simultaneously honor the past and look to the future built upon it.
