Sometimes one of the windiest places in Thailand isn't.
Oh but what a lovely photo!

@jamibann I've seen so many of these boats on this beach with this sky I'd become immune. I considered this photo a mere placeholder. Thank you for giving me pause to look at it anew.

On the subject of composition, this is done beautifully.

@taffy Thanks

Looks quite lonely. An I like the stretch of land without water in front of it - looks really detached form the sea.

A familiar scene to you maybe, but of interest from here and made so much more of by the placement of the boat in your frame.

@vera365 Thank you. Those isolated sand bars are the main reason I prefer to photograph at low tide.

@helenhall Thanks. I tried several slightly different POVs. For some reason, this one stood out upon first review.

Such fun! Like one of those flag people you see in a parade! Such human-like feeling in the structure.
I used to follow you but I'm now finding some links unlinked so am following you again.

That's delicious and your comment about no wind made me laugh as the flags hang limp there!

@jyokota All boats of this type have that structure. It's never registered as human-like. Now I expect it will come to mind often. Thanks.

@casablanca Thanks. Mentioning the flags gave me a 'heeheehee' of self realization. As both a former sailor and surfer I can tell from the ocean that there has been no wind for a long time, while the flags tell me there is no wind right now. Thanks for helping me see in a new-to-me way.
