C12 Round Tower at Little Saxham Suffolk

A lovely, crisp, cold day in Suffolk. This little church we visited has an exquisite round tower. The base is thought to be Anglo-Saxon and the belfry Norman.

What a beautiful blue sky; it really sets off the tower.

Thanks Kim. The church is in a little hamlet near Bury. @kyfto Thanks also fellow Lapthorn. I wonder if you hail from Devon like my husband.

John,we have family history of the South Hams Lapthorn's back to the mid-1500s. Lis is my wife. My brother (also John Lapthorn) still lives in the South Hams. BTW, love round towered churches.
