St Nicholas' Church Denston Suffolk by foxes37

St Nicholas' Church Denston Suffolk

Today we visited two nearby Suffolk Churches. Denston church was built in 1475 and is described as a church brimming with beauty. It really is a fine example of a medieval church. The font, made from stone from Normandy, is known as a Seven Sacrament font and is one of 36 in Norfolk and Suffolk. There are only two examples elsewhere in
England. The wooden carvings of animals on the pew ends, roof and some of the misericords are magnificent.

An interesting collage Lis.
